Plans for the restoration and extension of a 19th century village house

These plans were drawn up by BlackDots Architects with Mani Developments for the restoration of an old property on the outskirts of Somatiana, a village half way between Kardamyli and Aeropolis. They incorporate the old building with new buildings and a swimming pool on a fairly substantial gradient.

Naturally the plans should reflect the style and traditions of the region and of the original home.

Siteplan

The following plans show the various levels of the buildings, terraces and 'kamaras' (arches) but, as these plans are intended to show the buildings and their possible uses, the plans do not show the details of windows, french windows and doors. They are intended as an illustration of 'best use' of the existing home and land - detailed plans would follow from these.

Basement level - Guest studios and covered pool lounge with barbecue

Ground floor level - Various bedrooms, terraces and storage room

First floor level - The living, kitchen and dining areas

Second floor level - Gallery room and roof terrace
